Certification
Instructor A
Requirements:
- Applicant must exhibit martial arts morality.
- Applicant must have studied
Chinese martial arts for a minimum of seven years, including at least
three years spent either teaching or assisting
teaching.
- Applicant must pass an
examination which will test knowledge of his/her chosen style as well as
standard forms (northern and southern) and weapons (broadsword,
straightsword, spear and long staff).
Note:
- Testing fee is
$100.
- Certification fee is
$200.
- Certification form will be
signed by the Chiu Chi Ling International Hung Ga Kung Fu Association
President and the Chief of the Instructors
Committee.
Instructor B
Requirements:
- Applicant must exhibit martial arts morality.
- Applicant must have at least
twenty years of experience in the Chinese martial arts, including at
least ten years spent teaching.
- Applicant must have
contributed to the Chinese martial arts (for instance, by publishing a
book or producing instructional videotapes, etc.) or must be recommended
by the Instructors Committee or at least two respected
Shih-Fus.
Note:
- Testing fee is
$100.
- Certification fee is
$200.
- Certification form will be
signed by the Chiu Chi Ling International Hung Ga Kung Fu Association
President and the Chief of the Instructors
Committee.
Senior Instructor
Requirements:
- Applicant must exhibit martial arts morality.
- Applicant must have at least
thirty years of experience in the Chinese martial arts, including at
least ten years spent teaching.
- Applicant must have trained
(at least) one of the following:
- A world champion and a
continental champion
- Three continental
champions
- Six national champions
(tournaments must be sanctioned by the I.C.K.F., C.K.F.A., or the Chiu
Chi Ling International Hung Ga Kung Fu
Association)
Note:
- There is no certification
fee.
- Certification form will be
signed by the Chiu Chi Ling International Hung Ga Kung Fu Association
President and the Chief of the Instructors
Committee.
- The Chiu Chi Ling
International Hung Ga Kung Fu Association will not certify more than
five Senior Instructors each year; these will be determined by the Chiu
Chi Ling International Hung Ga Kung Fu Association Board of
Examiners.
Miscellany
- Martial arts morality will
be determined according to the following precepts: Discipline,
Integrity, Dedication, Sincerity, and Respect towards one's Shih-Fu, the
Chinese martial arts, and the martial arts
community.
- Applications will be
accepted year round. The Chiu Chi Ling International Hung Ga Kung Fu
Association Board of Examiners and Instructors Committee, however, will
review them only twice a year in May and
November.
- For non-Chiu Chi Ling
International Hung Ga Kung Fu Association members, add $100 to all
testing fees. All fees are non-refundable. For information on becoming a

- Any discrepancies will be
reviewed and decided upon by the Instructors Committee and Board of
Examiners. Final decisions will be determined by the Chiu Chi Ling
International Hung Ga Kung Fu Association
President.
